I have had the hardest time finding a mattress that my back and neck can handle. I usually wake up feeling like I’ve been hit by a truck. Flippable and a Removeable Cover
When you get your Layla Mattress un-boxed you’ll notice that it has a slip cover with a zipper. This is so that if you prefer a more firm mattress, you can flip it over and turn the slip cover over too. If your mattress cover gets dirty or needs washing you can remove it and throw it in the wash (I’ve never seen that with any other mattress). I love that because you can’t exactly throw your mattress in the wash. They do recommend that you dry clean it because the cover has microscopic gel in it and you wouldn’t want to ruin that.
Do you Prefer a Soft or Firm Mattress?Â
The middle of the mattress is made of convoluted base foam. We chose the softer side because we like a more cozy feel to our mattress and the soft side makes it so my arms don’t fall asleep as much. The firm side is more of a medium firm but you can try it out and see which you like best. You don’t every sink very far into the mattress because the foam base helps give it the extra support.

The soft side of the mattress has 3″ copper infused memory foam and the firm side has 1″ copper infused memory foam.
Why Copper?
Because copper keeps you cool while you sleep! Copper remains cool to the touch and when it’s combined with the open cell memory foam, it makes it so the mattress never gets hot.
It also helps with joint pain. I have what is the beginning of Psoriatic Arthritis. My joints ache and are really stiff when I wake up. But I have noticed a big difference sleeping on a Layla Mattress. When I wake up, I feel good! I don’t feel like I have to do Yoga to loosen up my joints just to walk to the bathroom. The copper infused pads reduce joint inflammation and help ease stiffness.
Because of the copper, I noticed that my arms don’t fall asleep as much as they used to when I sleep. Copper emits a number of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties which improve your blood flow.
