This Homemade Mint Lemonade is to die for and super duper easy to make! If the mint scares you a little, don’t worry, the mint helps the lemonade cool you down and it’s very subtle.
I have a daughter that doesn’t drink soda, so lemonade is something we make a lot. This recipe is our go to recipe for lemonade because it’s so easy and so delicious.
Not only is this recipe delicious put it makes for a beautiful table centerpiece. Just look at how beautiful this is!
AND you can make about 3 pitcher-fulls of this refreshing lemonade with the same sliced lemons. So a total of 24 cups, 6 cups each batch.
I’ve made an easy to follow video for you too! Just watch how easy these are to make!
- 6 large lemons
- 8 mint leaves
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 6 cups water
Thinly slice your lemons and remove all seeds and the ends of the lemons. Add the sliced lemons to a pitcher. Tear and smash the mint leaves to help bring out their flavor and add to the pitcher. Add the sugar to the pitcher and stir the lemons with a wooden spoon, lightly smashing the lemons to help release the lemon juice. Let the lemons “sweat” for about 5 minutes.
Add 6 cups water and stir well. Optional: Strain the lemonade if you don’t like pulp and serve.
After drinking all the lemonade you can repeat this process with the same lemons. Add more sugar and water and you’ll have about 2 more pictures of lemonade.
