Summer is right around the corner, or maybe it’s already arrived where you live. Today it’s going to be 83 degrees here. I’m ready for summer to come so I can relax and stop thinking about the kids getting their homework done. We love to make fun popsicle recipes during the summer and this one is a KEEPER! We call it Creamy Double Chocolate Oreo Popsicles because they are made with Extra Creamy Cool Whip and Chocolate filled Oreo’s.
These are so creamy and delicious! Your kids will love helping you make them and of course, helping you eat them. These yummy popsicles only require 3 ingredients, so they are budget friendly and super simple.
I’m am in love with Extra Creamy Cool Whip with Real Cream. It is extra thick and helps my dessert recipes be their best. The thickness gives it a sturdiness so it holds up in pie recipes perfectly too!
I bought the coolest popsicle molds (pun intended) last year on Amazon. They are AMAZING! They are made out of silicone and they have a lid . They are a “Push-Up” type of mold. You can fill them up, pop on the lid, and lay them or shove them almost anywhere in the freezer. My freezer is always really full, so it’s really nice to be able to put them wherever there is an empty spot.
Just look at how delicious these popsicles are. Don’t you want to just sink your teeth into it?
Now I’ll share the recipe with you. Are you ready to have your mind blown? Because it’s so simple!
Creamy Double Chocolate Oreo Popsicles
- 1- 8 oz. Container Cool Whip Extra Creamy with Real Cream
- 1/2 container Chocolate Cream Oreos
- 1 cup Whole Milk
Add the Extra Creamy Cool Whip and the milk to your blender. Mix until smooth. Add more milk as needed to make it a thick but mixable.
Add 1/4 package of Oreos and blend until chunky, add another 1/4 a container Oreos and blend until it reaches the consistency desired. I like mine chopped pretty small for popsicles. Not too many big chunks.
Pour into popsicle molds and freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight. When ready to eat, run the popsicle molds under warm water for a second to make it easier to slide the popsicles out of their molds.
See? How simple is that?
How much are your kids going to love this recipe? What mix in’s would your kids like to try in this recipe? I think this would be amazing with blueberries, strawberries, raspberries or even pineapple for a healthier version. Or mix in any cookie or candy bar for a super sweet treat.
Enjoy!
