I am a leader in my church for the Young Women ages 12-17 and each year we give them something different for their birthdays. This year we have decided to give them a charm bracelet with an arrow since our theme this year is “Press Forward”.
I tried many different ways to make these bracelets and this is by far the easiest way! I tried with memory wire, regular embroidery floss, but this nylon chord is the easiest to work with. I’ll show you exactly what to buy, and some of the links are affiliate links.
What You’ll Need:
- 1 mm 15″ Nylon Knitting, Crocheting and Tatting Chord
- Charms with holes on both ends like my arrows
- 6 mm beads
- Scissors
- Lighter
And if you want to make them as gifts:
- Card Stock
- 4″x6″ Boutique Style Zip Top Bags
I used this cute design to make my cards for my Young Women. I just put 6 on a page and cut them out into rectangles that will fit in the 4×6 bags. Then I added a hole punch to the side middle and cut an angled slit for the bracelet to slide through. This finishing touch makes the bracelet look like it came from a boutique. I love the way it turned out!
I’ve created a video tutorial for you because trying to explain how to get the bead’s on both chords and make a slip knot is just way too hard to do without showing you. So enjoy this fun video and have fun making these in all different colors with all different beads and charms. Just be sure to make some for your friends too!
