Scrabble is going off the table with a handheld version of the board game! My kids absolutely love handheld games and this Scrabble game is no exception. Hasbro sent us this little bundle of joy to try out and we absolutely adore it. It’s a physical handheld game that can be played by up to eight people. Which is perfect because there are seven of us.
Scrabble Twist is similar to the original game because you have to build words from mixed up letters to score points. Five letters are given to you on the device and you must press them in sequential order to build words. Players don’t have to use every letter, but the words have to contain 3 letters to count. Once a word is created you twist the end of the device to lock it in and then pass it to the next player. You can also play it in solo mode and try to get the highest score.
There are three play modes. Party Mode, Turbo Challenge, and Solo. You have either 15 seconds or 60 seconds (depending on the mode) to come up with as many words as you can.
I think it’s so smart for Hasbro to make a portable version of games like these so we can throw them in our diaper bags or purses to keep the kids occupied on the go without the use of a cell phone! This game would be so much fun on a road trip with the family.
I love games that help keep my kids brains active, and this game does just that. This is a perfect “Back to School” gift or to put under the tree this Christmas. Be sure to check it out! You’re family will love it, even if they don’t like board games.
You can get Scrabble Twist on Amazon or at most major retailers SOON!
What’s your family’s favorite board game?
