Now that summer is over and the kids are back in school, I can really step back and take a look at my house. My very messy and disorganized house. We play a lot during the summer and we don’t really take very good care of our home. So when the kids go back to school I take a week and re-organize my house. Well, at least that’s the goal. It doesn’t always work out that way. But at least I have the checklist now, so I won’t forget where I left off.
This printable checklist will help you move from room to room organizing and deep cleaning. Each room has a list of things to focus on so you don’t get overwhelmed.

I hope you are enjoying some time to yourself now that school has started. If you still have little ones at home, I’m right there with you. He is super bored now that his older brothers and sisters are in school.
I want to share with you a few products I use to help me organize my home. Let’s start with our closets because those are the hardest thing to keep organized.
Here are some of my favorite closet organizers:
Hanging Closet Organizer. Perfect for those of you who don’t have a dresser.
Shoe rack. This is a lifesaver! Get those shoes off the floor and make room for more!
And how great are these Door Hanging Purse Racks?
Now for the drawers. Have you ever tried drawer inserts? These make me smile. I hate digging through drawers to try and find what I need.
Next, let’s move on to the next most unorganized place in my home. The bathroom. Our bathrooms are very small so we have to take advantage of every square inch!
This Etagere Bath Cabinet is the perfect thing to make sure you are taking advantage of all the room in the bathroom.
I am so sick of slipping and tripping all over the bath toys. So I am ordering this bath toy organizer today.
How smart is this Over the Faucet Storage Rack?
Get those bottles off the edge of the bathtub with this Over-The-Shower Head Caddy.
I’m ordering this Over the Cabinet Door Styling Cabinet today!
Now on to the kitchen, my most favorite room for organizing. I spend so much time in the kitchen that it stays pretty organized, but I need lots of help getting all the stuff I have better organized in the pantry and cupboards. These are some things I’ve been looking at buying, or already have that have saved my sanity!
I have these Under Shelf Baskets and they are my favorite organizing item in my kitchen. They add double the space to my shelves.
Over cabinet door organizer.
Over door steel shelf rack. This is my favorite for storing spices so you can see them easier.
How brilliant is this door storage for those annoying lids to your pots?
Cans. Cans are my nemesis. How much do you hate trying to find the right can of soup when they are all the same size? This Double Can Rack will be going right in my pantry.
Keeping food fresh is a number one priority for saving money. These Airtight Food Containers will not only make your food stay fresh, but they will make your pantry look pretty too! Win, win!
Reuse those grocery bags by using this over cabinet bag storage container. I know you just have these shoved under your sink, don’t you?
Next we are going into the Office/ Craft room. Â These rooms make me want to scream! I HATE organizing paper, bills and a bunch of little craft items. So I’m hoping that these storage solutions will help me out.
This 12 Compartment Organizer looks like the perfect organizer for my craft paper and other crafting supplies. I am so in love with the mesh trays so I can see exactly what’s inside.
And if you can’t tell, I love over the door organizers, and this one is perfect for the office.
This drawer organizer is my favorite because it’s clear and it floats! So smart!
I am in love with this 10-Drawer Rolling Storage Cart. The top has dividers so you can use it for office supplies.
Now let’s head outside and work on the garage.
This is my all time favorite storage solution for the garage. I think it’s so smart. It’s a SafeRacks Overhead Storage Rack with hooks so you can hang your bikes, golf bags, baseball bags, mits, helmets etc. Are you in love yet? I am! It’s almost a storage solution for the whole garage.
If you can’t fit your ladder on one of the hooks from the hanging rack, use these brilliant hooks to store your ladder up and out of the way.
I love this Monkey Bars Bike Storage Rack for the winter when the kids aren’t riding their bikes anymore.
Don’t forget about those annoying brooms, rakes and shovels. This storage rack will help you get those all in one place and up off the floor.
Ok, I’m going to stop now because I could go on for days sharing organizing products with you. I’m a little obsessed with things that make my home more more beautiful.
One thing that I want to emphasize is that you should HAVE YOUR KIDS HELP. This will teach them how to be organized themselves. It will also teach them to not just shove everything wherever they feel like it. If they have to clean up and organize, they will learn that it’s much less effort to put it where it belongs in the first place rather than having to go and clean it later.
Have a great time getting that home cleaned!
