If any of you follow me on Instagram, you noticed that I went shopping at Walmart to grab some ingredients for a Healthy Protein Packed lunch. I told you I’d share that recipe with you, and here it is! It was so delicious! Even my 4 year old gobbled it up.
During the summer I try to find meal ideas that are quick and easy. I don’t want to use the oven if I don’t have to. When it’s 100+ degrees outside, no one wants an oven on, heating up the house. I like meals that I can prepare in the microwave so we can get back to playing quickly. While I was at Walmart, I grabbed the Birds Eye Steamfresh Asian Protein Blends pack and the Tyson Grilled & Ready Chicken Breast Fillets. This way I can still prepare a warm, fresh meal right in the microwave. These Asian Wraps are a complete meal wrapped in one nice little convenient package.
Have you noticed how hungry kids are during the summer? They seem to burn through all the food you feed them in minutes. The Birds Eye Veggies add protein to these wraps so my family feels full longer and I don’t have to feed them snacks all day long. And with the 100% all natural, white mean Tyson Chicken Breasts, they are getting double the filling power. The chicken is already fully cooked and has a great grilled taste. So let’s get ready to microwave!
Healthy Asian Chicken Wraps
- 1 package Birds Eye Steamfresh Asian Protein Blend
- 5 Tyson Grilled & Ready Chicken Breast Fillets
- 1 cup Kraft Asian Toasted Sesame Dressing
- 1 bunch romaine lettuce or packaged romaine lettuce.
- 8 – 10 Flour Tortillas
Follow the microwave directions on the back of the Birds Eye Asian Protein Blend package then add the veggies to a medium bowl.
Cook the Tyson Grilled & Ready Chicken Breast fillets according to the microwave directions on the package.
Chop the chicken into smaller than bite size pieces.
Add to the veggies in the bowl.
Pour the dressing over the meat and veggies and stir until well combined.
Prepare the flour tortillas by cooking them (if you are using uncooked tortillas, which are my first choice) or microwave them with a wet paper towel over them to keep them from drying up. Put the wraps together by adding a little lettuce to the middle of the tortilla.
Add about 1/2 cup of the veggie and chicken mixture to the middle of the tortilla and wrap up. Serve warm.
