We love making crafts with cotton balls in our preschool so this Easter Bunny craft was the perfect activity for our preschoolers this week. This would be a really fun craft to make at home too.
Here’s what you need:
- 1 cotton ball- pulled to look fluffy
- pink construction paper
- blue construction paper
- white construction paper
- hole punch
- Elmers glue
- green Easter grass
Begin by cutting the blue construction paper in half. Then from one side use the hole punch to punch out two blue circles. With the pink construction paper, cut out a small oval a little smaller than a dime. Cut bunny ear shapes out of the white construction paper then a smaller version with the pink construction paper.
Assemble by laying the blue paper horizontally on the table. Add a zigzag of glue to the bottom of the paper. Press some of the green Easter grass onto the glue. Now glue the fluffy cotton ball on the paper just above the grass so the bunny looks like he’s sitting on the grass. Glue the nose and eyes directly on the cotton ball. Glue the white ears with the bottom under the cotton ball, then glue the pink ears on top of the white. Now you’re done. Let your child color a sun in the sky and Easter eggs hiding in the grass if desired.
Have fun creating your cute Easter Bunny with your kids!
