I love brownies, I love easy and I love the flavor combination of peanut butter and chocolate. That’s why these double peanut butter brownies are so amazing. The base is from a brownie mix, so they are super simple too!
Double Peanut Butter Brownies from a Mix
- 1 19.5 to 19.8 once package brownie mix
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup water
- 3 large eggs
- 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 9×13″ pan with foil up the sides. In a medium mixing bowl, mix the brownie mix, oil, water, eggs, peanut butter, and brown sugar with a wooden spoon until just blended and all dry ingredients are incorporated. Spread batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 32-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into 2 inches from side comes out almost clean. Do not over bake. Let cool completely then remove from pan by lifting out of the pan with the foil. Frost with peanut butter frosting, cut and serve.
Peanut Butter Frosting
- 6 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
- 3-4 tablespoons milk
In a medium bowl beat the peanut butter and butter with an electric mixer or stand mixer set on medium until blended. Gradually add the powdered sugar alternately with the milk, beating on low until blended and smooth. Increase speed to medium and beat 1 minute longer until light and creamy. Makes about 1 3/4 cups, enough to generously frost a 13×9″ pan of brownies.
