I use my family’s personal blog as my journal. So it’s really important to me to preserve it. It includes my thoughts about everything that is going on in my life, and it includes all the wonderful pictures of the adventures of my family. I was talking to some of my fabulous blogging friends and they told me about this web site www.blog2print.com. In a previous post I comment about these blog printing companies, so if you want more information, scroll down.
Now, I wanted to make sure that my pictures were big enough to print in the books. In order to have larger pictures, I would have to stretch my blog layout. I went into my layout and tried changing the padding and margins Html, and NOTHING worked. Then my friend told me it was much easier!!! Here is what she told me to do.
“It’s not hard at all to stretch your blog – it just takes a little time when you post pictures. I think it looks so much better though, placing more emphasis on the pictures. First, you’ll need to change your layout in blogger to Minima Stretch. You’ll also want to find or create a background that will accommodate that. Then, just change your picture sizes by multiplying the current pixels by 1.625 and then a little later in the html change the resolution from s300 or s400 to s1600. You might want to go back and do it to a few of your posts that are showing now.”
In order to change the HTML in your posts, you have to look in the upper right hand corner of the posting window. Notice that there is an Edit Html tab? Click on it. Then you have to find the Html for your pictures and follow the instructions above.
I have stretched my blog already. Now I need to go and change my background (I create my own backgrounds using photoshop, I’ll post a tutorial later for doing that). And then I need to change my picture sizes. If you want to view my blog, here is the address http://belnapbrags.blogspot.com
Have fun!
