This is my family’s favorite pizza, even more than any we can buy somewhere else! It’s so easy and quick. The dough is made with Rhodes Roll Dough, that’s why it’s “semi-homemade”. Try it this weekend, your family will love helping you make it!
What you need:
18 Rhodes Roll Dough Thawed- less rolls if you like a thin crust-(follow quick thaw method on bag for microwave)
Your favorite spaghetti sauce (we like Prego Original)
Garlic Powder
Italian Seasoning
Mozzarella cheese
Your favorite toppings
After the dough is thawed, smash the rolls to form one big ball. (the kids love this part)
Roll out on your greased jelly roll pan (cookie sheet or pizza stone). I like using olive oil underneath the dough, it just makes it a little harder to roll out, but worth it. I love this little rolling pin so I can roll the dough right in the pan. Mine is from Pampered Chef, but HERE (Norpro Deluxe Pastry and Pizza Roller)is one that looks nice too! Trust me, you’ll never use your huge rolling pins again!
Sprinkle dough evenly with garlic powder and Italian seasoning
Add about 2/3 cup sauce and spread around with the back of a big spoon. (add more if you like a lot of sauce, a normal pizza’s sauce looks very thin on the dough, but it’s usually plenty)
Sprinkle evenly with cheese
Add your toppings
Sprinkle more cheese (this helps the toppings stick)
Sprinkle a little more Italian Seasoning evenly over cheese
Bake at 375 for about 15-20 min or until middle is risen and cheese is melted. Make sure the outside is golden brown too!
Take out of oven and let stand about 10 min. Cut and enjoy!
