If you have kids, I think I’d be safe to say you have some damage done to your wood dining room table. Not only are their dings all over the top of my table from the kids banging their utensils on it, but there is also a lot of damage from water spills that didn’t get cleaned up until I saw them. I had so much damage to my table that I was ready to either get rid of it, or completely sand it down and re-finish it. I didn’t want to put all that effort into it right now, so I was searching for a quick fix to get it looking better. There was such a contrast between the finished and unfinished part of my table, that it was looking REALLY BAD. Just see for yourself . . .
I headed to Home Depot and was on a quest to find a quick fix. I wanted something that would take me a few minutes to use and still get a great result. I found these awesome little Minwax Wood Finish Stain Marker and decided to give it a try. It couldn’t look any worse than it already did, so I had nothing to lose. I chose the color closest to my dining room table and took it home.
My table had such bad water damage that parts of the table were missing the finish and glaze.
I got my little helper and started “coloring” all over the table. See his cute little chubby hand helping me. He thought it was really fun. I was closely supervising him.
After we colored the stain on the damaged part of the table, we wiped the excess off with a paper towel.
I couldn’t believe how much better it already looked.
So after seeing how good it looked on the leg for a test run, I used it on the top of the table.
It doesn’t completely cover up the damage, but it really makes it look less noticeable. I was so happy!
Head over to Amazon or Home Depot and grab one for yourself and it will feel like you have a whole new kitchen!

Water was spelled and the table has a white stain. What do I do?
