It’s been two weeks since school started and we are already sick of all the egg dishes I’ve been making.
You see, we have chickens which means we have a million eggs to eat. We love having a never ending supply of eggs, but we need some more recipes to use them in. Then Hestan Cue asked me to check out their new Smart Cooking System and I brain stormed all the recipes I could make in one frying pan.
Breakfast Burritos to the rescue.
Breakfast Burritos are great because you can use up some of those eggs in a creative and different way. And these Breakfast burritos are so easy to make and only dirty one pan.
The Hestan Cue Smart Cooking System makes these burritos easier to make.
Being able to control the heat precisely while I switch from one ingredient to another. There are 4 different things we will cook in the frying pan, and they all require different heat settings.
The Hestan Cue Smart Induction Burner is a glass ceramic cook top with touch controls that also connects through Bluetooth technology to the Hestan Cue app. That’s cool, isn’t it? Well, just wait because the cookware communicates with the burner so you have the most precise cooking temperature ever! How cool is that? You can use your own recipes or you can use the many recipes that are on the Hestan Cue app to make any of the fancy dishes you’ve been wanting to make. Embedded sensors and timers give you consistent cooking experience at each step of a recipe.
The app takes you step by step through the recipe. Easy Peasy.
So let’s learn just how easy these burritos are to make. Surprise the family with them this week before school and you’ll have happy kids with full tummies.
 Easy One Pan Breakfast Burritos
- 6-8 uncooked tortillas
- 1 pound regular pork sausage
- 1- 28 oz. bag Southern Style O’Brien Hash Browns
- 6 eggs
- 1 tablespoon butter
- shredded cheese
- hot sauce
1. Set the Hestan Cue to 450° or turn your range burner to medium high heat. Put the pan on the burner and let it warm up for about 2 minutes. Cook both sides of the tortillas until bubbling. Repeat with all tortillas, set aside.
2. Turn the heat down to 400° (about medium) and add the sausage. Crumble and cool until not pink. Remove from pan into a bowl and set aside, leaving the grease in the pan for the hash browns.
3. Add the hash browns to the pan and cook until browned and warm and cooked all the way through.
4. Reduce the temperature of the pan to 250° or medium low. Add the eggs to a bowl and whisk. Melt the butter in the pan then add the eggs. Scramble slowly to keep the eggs from drying out.
5.Assemble the burritos. Start with the tortilla then add sausage, hash browns, eggs, shredded cheese and hot sauce. Roll up and serve immediately.
