The Nerf N-Strike Elite Terrascout Remote Control Drone Blaster is the coolest toy yet! Not only is it like a remote control off road vehicle, but it has a camera and a screen on the remote so you can sneak up on people.
My son has fun hiding in the living room and driving the drone into different rooms and scaring people. Of course the drone shoots Nerf darts too, so it’s extra fun for the kids. If you insert an SD card (not included) into the drone you can record your RC battles and watch them again! The blaster uses Nerf Elite Darts and I love that the NiMh battery is rechargeable. The remote takes AA batteries, which we always have laying around our house. This makes it convenient for me.
The Nerf N-Strike MEGA Mastodon Blaster is exactly how it’s described. It’s massive in size and it shoots massive Nerf darts at a high rate like a machine gun. It requires 6 D batteries, but if you use Duracell, it will provide hours of continuous play. My kids love how intimidating the MEGA Mastodon looks and I love how easy it is for them to use it. There is no “cocking” required. It’s all battery powered. This is especially helpful for my 6 year old who still has a hard time holding the bigger Nerf products. It has two handles also for easy use.
When you see someone carrying the MEGA Mastodon, you run in the opposite direction! What’s even more fun is that the Mastodon Blaster shoots the MEGA Whistler Darts that scream through the air.
The darts can travel up to 100 feet. It’s so much fun! My 12 year old loves the shoulder strap so he can run through the park with his friends without dropping it. He can also swing the MEGA Mastodon around to his back with the strap so he can have his hands free for other activities.
We are not planning on a completely “screen free” summer at my house, but I am limiting the kids screen time.
I really want them to spend more time outside playing in the dirt, mud, grass and trees. When I saw these new NERF Blasters I knew our family had to have them. They are so cool and have already provided many hours of screen free play time at our house.
