Boys sometimes are really hard to buy for. Especially when they are in those in between stages between childhood and adolescence. I have a son who is almost 11 and he is having a hard time deciding what he wants for Christmas so I’ve come up with a few things that I know he will like on my own.
Hopefully some of these ideas will help you find the perfect gift for that boy in your life. This post contains affiliate links. Read my disclosure policy for more information.
#1. Playmation Marvel Avengers Starter Pack Repulsor
We actually have this toy from Hasbro and it is a lot of fun! Playmation is the next step in the evolution of play. Playmation combines digital, physical and imagination all in one toy. The products are inter-connected and embedded with content to let users feel the battle and put them at the center of the action. The kids can strap on Iron Man-inspired Repulsor Gear and use the motion-based controls to battle their way through missions with three different blast modes, blocking, dodging, sneaking, running, jumping and more.
Power Activators bring missions to life with over 20 different enemies, and can load Smart Figures to interact with each character. Players can feel like part of the battle as the Repulsor Gear vibrates with every blast and activates awesome light and sound effects.
#2. Star Wars Monopoly– If you have a son that loves to play games, this is the game he’ll want this Christmas. We also have this fun game from Hasbro and my kids love to play it. Conquer the Star Wars galaxy in this intergalactic, hyperdrive version of the fast-trading property game, Monopoly! You can play on the Rebel or the Empire side, and your mission is to conquer planets and build bases so you can dominate the universe!
When players land on your planets, they owe you rent – but the same is true when you land on theirs! Powerful Force cards will alter your destiny, but there can be only one winner. When every planet is owned, the game is over – and if the Force is with you, you’ll be the ultimate winner! Star Wars products are produced by Hasbro under license from Lucasfilm Ltd. Features a shelter with opening door, nether rack fireplace, crafting table, bucket, 2 buildable torches and snowy tree, plus transparent ice block elements and 2 brick-built coal ores.
#4 Minecraft Crafting Table– This fun crafting table is the perfect gift for the Minecraft fan. Featuring 10 unique design templates to create iconic features from the game, like a Diamond, Pickaxe or Creeper face! Place the craft cubes into the tray by following the template or make your own design and build out whatever you can imagine. When your design is complete, simply spray with water to coat the cubes, place the tray inside the Crafting Table to turn on the internal fan and once the water has completely evaporated the cubes will magically bind together.
#5 Star Wars Sphero BB-8 App-Enabled Droid– Meet BB-8 – the app-enabled Droid that’s as authentic as it is advanced. BB-8 has something unlike any other robot – an adaptive personality that changes as you play. Based on your interactions, BB-8 will show a range of expressions and even perk up when you give voice commands. Set it to patrol and watch your Droid explore autonomously, make up your own adventure and guide BB-8 yourself, or create and view holographic recordings.

Just put some delicious whipped cream from home or the wet sponge on the “hand” of this hilarious game unit and start turning the handles. It could go off at any time, so keep your fingers crossed and hope you’re not the one who gets a splat in the face! You score a point for every time you turn the handle without getting pie-faced, and the one who scores 25 points wins. Take some risks and hope for the best in this hilarious Pie Face game!
