I know what this mommy life is like! I’ve been there and done that!
- I know how it feels to be at home with sick kids all day long. Cleaning up after them, being sick yourself at the same time.
- I know how full your heart is when you watch them take their first steps and say their first words.
- I know what it’s like to have no adult conversation all day long and then you talk your husbands ear off when he gets home from work.
- I know what it’s like when you watch them figure something out on their own, without your help.
- I know what it’s like when you have to run errands with 3 small kids all begging and screaming for a toy they just saw.
- I know what it’s like to sit beside their bed singing so they will just stay on their bed and hear them start singing with you, and how that just melts your heart.
- I know what it’s like when you stand back and watch your teenagers drive the car away for the first time by themselves.
- I know what it feels like when you watch your teenager struggle with their friends.
- I know how unbearable some of those long drives to and from practice are, but I also know how amazing it feels when you watch your child make their first goal.
The life of a mom is amazing!
Some days you just can’t get enough of those cute little faces and the cute little things they say. Sometimes you just want to run outside and scream because you can’t handle ONE MORE QUESTION!

Let’s not forget that kids are capable of different things at different ages. I’ve put together a list of things a child should be able to do all on his own at certain ages. This list is a lifesaver because I know not to expect too much from my little ones, but at the same time I make sure they are doing what they are capable of and contributing to the family.
