Summer Crafternoon with Beados

08/14/14 | Kids, Kids Crafts and Coloring, Parties, Sponsored

“We had the privileged of receiving Beados complimentary to facilitate this review. All opinions about the product are my own.”

You know how it goes. Your kids tell you every lazy summer day that they are bored. Especially on the days when it’s just too hot to go outside. It’s just like a snow day or rainy day. They are stuck inside and don’t know what to do with themselves. I always try to get them to come up with their own ideas so they can exercise their imagination, but sometimes they need a little jump start. That’s where Beados comes in! These little things are a sanity saver for moms!

They come in different kits depending on the kinds of things you want to make.

There is a Beados Quick Dry Design Station that includes the cool stand up fan that helps the Beados dry faster. Then there are activity packs that come with 600 Beads, tweezers, little houses and a spray bottle. Then there are refill packs too. Each pack comes with different designs. They are so cute!

We invited our neighborhood friends to come over and spend about 3 hours making all the Beados designs. I’m not kidding. This kept them occupied for 3 hours. Some of the kids used the tweezers and some just used their fingers.

I couldn’t believe how many different ages of neighbor kids loved these. The “Tween” girls, the 8-9-10 year old boys and my preschool aged son all loved these and spent tons of time playing and designing with them.

Playing with these beads is really good for developing gross motor skills for my 4 year old.

The coolest thing about these Beado Beads is that when you are done with your design, you squirt them with water and let them dry, then you’re done! So easy! No hot irons needed!

This dryer fan in the starter kit speeds up the process and we also used the hair dryer on cool setting to help out since we had so many kids over waiting their turn to use the trays.

We also used the dryer on warm to dry the trays before someone else used them so the beads wouldn’t stick to them.

I just love the cute little “houses” or “stages” that come with these kits. They have little suction cup stands and bridges to connect the “town”.

Here are some of the finished products. They had so much fun and our house was buzzing with excitement!
